Puttanesca – PASTA SAUCE WITH TAGGIASCA OLIVES
In 2018, our Conte-Cardillo family (proudly named “Cardillu,” meaning “Goldfinch” in Italian) began a heartfelt journey of recreating and sharing our cherished recipes from our home in the Cotswolds. This culinary celebration beautifully blends the rich traditions of our Italian heritage with the finest local produce, capturing the vibrant, authentic flavors of Italy—creating food that truly sings of Italy!
Our beloved Grandmother, Nonna Pippi, suggests serving her bold and flavorful Puttanesca sauce gently warmed in a drizzle of olive oil, then tossed with any hearty pasta shape. For an indulgent twist, add a spoonful of creamy mascarpone and pair it with a crisp green salad on the side.
