In 2018, our Conte-Cardillo family (our name “Cardillu” meaning “Goldfinch” in Italian) began a heartfelt journey of recreating and sharing our treasured recipes from our home in the Cotswolds. This culinary celebration seamlessly blends the rich traditions of our Italian heritage with the exceptional local produce of the Cotswolds, capturing the vibrant, authentic flavors of Italy—creating food that truly sings of Italy!
Our beloved Grandmother, Nonna Pippi, recommends serving her slow-cooked tomato sauce gently warmed in a touch of olive oil, then tossed with your favorite pasta shape. It’s heavenly topped with goat’s cheese or Parmesan shavings and paired with a crisp green salad.
